Hello Nick,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read complete details of your question.

Such type of symptoms can occur with following diseases-

-Compression of nerve in back

-Compression of nerve in upper part of leg

-Deficiency of vitamin B12

-Viral or other type of infection of spinal cord

-Compression of nerve due to narrowing of hole from which it caomes out of spine(spinal canal stenosis)

-Stress or anxiety.

You should consult to your doctor & should have complete investigations like x ray of lower spine, serum estimation of vitamin B12,HEMOGLOBIN,etc.

At present you may star taking supplements of vitamin B12,This may be available OTC.

Hope this will help you.

With best wishes.
