Pierced Lip, Swelling, Pain, Ring Covered With Skin. Will Medication Cure This?

hi, i have my lip pierced n its swollen n reaaaaally painful =( i woke up 2 days ago n just realised it was swollen. My lip ring inside my mouth is complletely coverd by skin =( (scared) went to the doctors the same day. He priscribed me antibiotics .. wud my swelling go down? and wud the pain go? i also CANNOT take ring out, coz of the pain n skin..HELP plss?... thnk you

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

you might be suffering from bacterial infection.

Dont worry just complete course of antibiotics.

You get relief with this.

Apply an antibacterial cream like mupirocine.

Hot fomentation is also good,

It helps in accumulation of pus, which can be drained later.
