Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello Michael,
Thanks for writing to us and happy new year.

From description it seems soft tissue injury or ligament injury. If proper immobilisation is not given at the time of injury, healing of tissue or ligament might get hampered.

I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.

Wishing you good health...
Regards.

happy new year ..
did u not go for any x-ray..usually ankle sprains are common after any injury .. it may take some more rest for 2wks..but if its any fracture out there u need to take treatment from ortho doc ..so give complete rest and go for an x-ray to confirm..
thank u..
