Peri-menopausal, White Flakes In Urine, No Pain While Urinating, Delayed Periods, Cramps. Cause Of Concern?

My partner is peri-menopausal and is experiencing small white flakes in her urine- no pain, not cloudy urine, no color change, and wants to know if this indicates a problem. She s been having cramps but hasn t gotten her period yet. Cramping has been happening for the last 5 days but she isn t bleeding . Is this normal? Should we be concerned?

Hello and welcome to HCM
Presence of white flakes in urine is of concern.
You need to get an urine examin ation- routine examination and microscopy.
White flakes indicates either a fungal infection or presence of proteins.
Cramps can be due to the cramping of muscles of uterus.
As you have mentioned that your wife is in peri-menopausal age group, then this kind of cramping can happen in the absence of bleeding.
During peri-menopausal phase ovulation starts ceasing slowly with decrease in bleeding.
You can take an anti-spasmodic for relief.

Consult your doctor for white flakes in urine.

Thanks and take care
