Hi, You are diagnosed with Parkinson s and are on levodopa and benserazide (?duration). Suffering from heart burn, indigestion and intense backpain. Levodopa is known to cause acute symptoms like nausea and vomiting. These are usually transient and can generally be avoided by gradual titration. If they persist, they can be treated with additional doses of carbidopa or benserazide or agent such as domperidone (not available in the United States). A long standing irritation to the lining of the food pipe with stomach acid causes barrette s oesophagus. Diagnosis made only through proper investigations.
