Pancreatits, Have Large Stone In Pancreatic Duct. History Of ERCP. Advised Re-stunting Or Open Surgery. Guidance?

I am Suffering from Pancreatitis from past 20 years. now recently got sever pain and found there is a large stone in Pancreatic Duct. i have undergone ERCP 3 times and stunting was done in 2006. it is removed in March 2012. now doctors rccomending to go for blasting of stone and restunting or open surgery. please guide

hi...
ERCP is a modren treatment modality.that is preffered on open surgery...it is both diagnostic and therapeutic at the same time...it is less invasive with minimal post operative hospital stay....
