Painless Lump In The Vagina. What Could This Be?

Hi, I recently discovered a small egg shaped ball inside of my right vagina lip. It s not as if I spread open my legs and it s inside of my vagina. It s actually inside my skin, in the lip. I ve been reading Q and As online similar to what I have, but they don t seem to accurate to what I m facing. It s painless and I discovered it whipping after using the restroom. I m not sure what to do or what it even is. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for query,
The first possibility is of bartholin gland swelling or cyst.
This is a gland responsible for lubrication of vagina.
The second possibility is of a polyp.
You should consult your Gynec for diagnosis of it.
He will examine & needed advise for biopsy to confirm its pathology.
Thanks.

General & Family Physician Dr. Harish Naik's  Response
Hello,
WeLcome to HCM,

As per your history and complaints , swelling could be due to various causes like a sebaceous cyst, barthlonis cyst, furuncle etc..

Its difficult to precisely say without examining.

I advise you to consult your gynaec for exact diagnosis.

Regards
