Paining While Urinating, Pain From Prostate While Using Tamulosin. Suggestions?

when iuse 0.4 tamsulosin I have extreme pain from my prostate . when I took two at a time it seems to help for 20 hours. I am 74 and my dad my uncle and my grandfather all died in their late seventys. until two weeks ago every thing was okey I've been taking 0.4 for at least ten years. The pain of trying to urinate is unbearable

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Pain during urination , you haven't mentioned duration of pain.
As you stated that you are taking tamsulosin 0.4 mg from last 10 years.
This drug actually reduces the size & weight of prostate gland.
Your burning sensation may be due to Urinary Tract Infection.
Get in urine culture as well sensitivity ( blood ) test for proper test and management .
Consult an Urologist and get his opinion.
