Painful Red Swollen Lumps On Stomach. Discharge Of Blood With Yellowish Pus. Remedy?
I developed a red swollen lump on my stomach about 4 weeks ago. about a week after I noticed it, I realized it had become quite large and very painful. I squeezed it and blood came out along with yellowish pus. now I have 2 more that have shown up and they hurt very bad. I had to leave work early due to the intense pain. I would see a doctor but I have no insurance at the moment. any advice on what this could be? and what can I do to get rid of them?
Seems like you have developed folliculitis over your trunk.
Now firstly I would advise you to keep the area clean and dry as much as possible. Do not apply any kind of moisturizing creams/lotions or oil over the affected area. Wear cotton clothes so as to decrease the amount of sweating. Clean the area with lukewarm water twice a day and apply an antibiotic cream like mupirocin gel over the area twice daily.
If inspite of the above measures, the lesion persists or continues to increase in size, then you might need a course of oral antibiotics along with pain killers.
In that case, I would advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment.
Hope it helps Best wishes for a speedy recovery Dr Geetika Paul
