Painful Red Patches Under Nose, Chin And Both Sides Of Face. What Can This Be?
I have went to the Doctor several times. They just give me meds for shingles. I have red patches under my nose, chin on both sides of my face. They have been there for a year and every so often they itch and burn and more patches show up and little red bumps that do not have any liquid or puss. It usually happens when im stressed but in the last two days they are in my ears and nose and are very painful. I do not want to go back to the doctor because they are so quick to say it is shingles. Can this be? My rashes and patches don t flake or have blisters. They just itch burn and hurt. The 2 patches(the one on my chin is on the left side and the one under my nose is on my upper right lip) have been there for over a year

I have gone through your query regarding painful red patches on the skin at nose, both sides on cheeks.
As you said this patch is on your skin for last many years and time to time few small bumps arises on it and they are painful also. Considering your all these facts it appears to be either harmonal menifestation or some allergic skin disorder. this may be better clarified by skin specialist but till you are making arrangement for consultation with dermatologist you may use any skin ointment containing antibiotic + steroids .
