Painful Bump In The Thigh. Need To Be Removed?

I have a painful bump in the crease of my right thigh. It is swollen and I am barely walking. I ve had a pea like cyst right there for quite some time that isn t painful. The dr. told me she could remove it, but if it wasn t giving me any trouble it could just stay there. I decided to leave it because I forget about it being there. I am, however, concerned about this bump in the crease of my leg. What do you think it could be?

Hello,
this could be a sebaceous cyst or skin tag which has got infected or injured.
Removing it will be a good option as it may lead to abscess formation.
Thank you
