Painful, Bruised And Swollen Shin With Two Nasty Cuts And A Big Bruise, Traveled To Ankle And Foot. Thoughts ?

I sustained two nasty cuts and a big bruise to my shin last week. Was very painful, bruised and swollen. Now the bruising has travelled to my ankle and foot and swelling in reducing, but still have large hard (and v painful!) lump and strange dent above. Could I have broken something, am able to walk on it so thought not but now beginning to wonder! You thoughts?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bruise that has traveled till your ankle is due to settling down of the oozed out blood and fluid due to the gravity. If the pain and swelling is reduced then there is no need to worry.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
