Pain under rib cage with night sweats

I am concern about my friend. She has been to a Doctor but without results on diagnosis. She complains of pain under her rib cage. Her left foot feels like it is asleep all the time, tingling sensation. She smokes cigarettes, maybe less than a pack a day, and drinks beer every evening after work and her weekends off and she also has night sweats . In the past, she has experience A-Fib. She had a chest xray that showed a hemangioma , so her Doctor ordered a MRI , no results back yet. What does this sound like to you? Are all these symptoms related or separate things going on?
