hi and welcome ,
According to you history i can say pain on the left side involving ear, head and neck may be associated with eruption of wisdom teeth , as the wisdom tooth is the last tooth to erupt in the oral cavity and often they are impacted in the jaw bone leading to pain and discomfort. they often radiate pain to ear and neck areas.
TMJ problems , Traumatic bite , presence of cyst or abscess in the jaw areas , lymph node enlargement , space infections , neck tumours may also lead to pain and pressure in the neck and ear.
i would suggest you to visit a oral surgeon and get an OPG radiograph done which will show the exact cause of pain and accordingly treatment can be done.
i hope this helps ,
take care.

ENT Specialist Dr. A.K. Srivastava's  Response
Hello
welcome in H.C.M.
I have gone through your query regarding pain on your left side of ear ,back on mastoid and reaching down to shoulder, your E.N.T.doctor says ear is ok .You got some better feeling after antibiotics.
After considering all aspects of your complaints I would like to say that am agree with your E.N.T.doctor's opinion because -
(1) Area involve in pain can't be explain by ear pathology.
(2) You have no complaint for loss of hearing and dizziness. Because deeper ear pathology is usually associated with these symptoms.
So most probably you are having dental pathology and referred pain in left ear. You have also said about some dental work in long back.
I think your query is now explained well.

With Regards.
