Pain On Right Side, Light Fever, Blood In Stool, Frequent Urination
Hi! My doctor is on holidays and I am slightly concerned about my following symptoms. I have a slight pain on my right side when I push and have a very light fever. What really scared me was on Sunday I reacted violently to something I ate and was very nautious and eventually brought everything up and there was blood in my stool. This has since disappeared. I also have a tendency to urinate frequently. I am 64 yrs old and have never had anything other than a rare occasional cold in my life. My doctor will return on Monday, should I wait till then or get it checked immediately. There is no pain on its own only when I push, no pain in coughing or bending and stool right now is normal. Thanking you in advance YYYY@YYYY
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The presence of blood in stool only once can be related to a minor gut infection. It can be related to a minor viral infection. The symptoms do not seem to be worrisome and you can wait for your general physician for evaluation. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
