Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Is the swelling on the neck-cheek junction on left side of neck? Since it is painful on touch there is an inflammation probably in glans(parotid or submandibular salivary glands) or else if swelling away from cheek ,it could be muscular. In any case take Ibuprofen 400 thrice a day for 5 days and wait for response. if doesn't go or swelling increases in size or pain go to a Doc.for its physical examination, preferably a general-surgeon
