Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
First of all, please remember to mention your age and sex in all queries, this information is the most important information a doctor has. Now coming to the pain. Other than which you present with no other symptoms.
Dull aching pain in the right lower quadrant of your abdomen can have many causes, let me list a few for your reference:
-Appendicitis
-Diverticulitis
-Symptoms of a bowel stricture/obstruction/abnormality
-Infections (eg.
gastroenteritis)
-
Ovarian cyst (in females)
-
Gall bladder abnormalities
-Intestinal gas
-Ulcers
and many more.
In my opinion, if you experience this pain again, and it keeps recurring, then you should visit a doctor for a physical examination, which would possibly be followed by an
ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis or even an endoscopy.
It does seem highly unlikely for you to have a
urinary tract infection (UTI), but for your satisfaction you could request for a urine analysis, that should show signs of an infection (if present).
Once the cause is found, it can be treated accordingly. I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
