General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

Since your ECG and X- Ray are normal, please be reassured that there is no major problem.

The other possibilities that come to my mind are acidity, gastritis, GERD or muscle sprain. I would suggest that in addition to your pain medication, you also take pantoprazole 40 mg(to combat acidity) once daily half an hour before breakfast for 1 week.

Drink warm water at regular intervals. Make sure you drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.

Avoid spicy food and oily food.

If the pain is still persisting with the same intensity, please consult your physician.

I hope I have answered your question. Please do get back to me if you have further queries.

Have a great day :)

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
