hi - for at least 6 weeks now I have had pain in throat when swallowing/yawning on left side down where an adams apple would be. Im a 32yr old female non-smoker. I am a teacher and have notice similar pain at times when trying to make myself heard. THere may be a bit of pressure in my left ear but the doc says my ears are clear. The doc said to come back in 4 weeks and I have jsut been urgently ref to the ent. What could this be? She has given me anti-thrush medication but also said if I was 60 she d think it s cancer . Im so worried now.
firstly kindly get examined properly by an ent doctor clinically. (laryngoscopy), rule out any lymphadenopathy and proper neck examination .a ct scan head and neck shall give u a good picture to rule out any serious conditions.
