Hello my name is James and I was just wondering why both of my palms hurting? They been hurting for quit sometime now and I dnt know why!! I havnt did anything they hurt where the fat part is close to the thumb area is!!! They is very sore I massage them with my knuckle it ease the pain alil but I don t know it could be!! Thanks for submitting your question. I think you are suffering from De Quervians tenosynovitis. Commonly seen in people who invove in repetitive movements at hand or wrist. In this condition the synovial sheath ie., the protective covering over thumb tendon which passes through a narrow canal is inflammned causing pain and swelling near thumb . The condition is not serious and can be easily treated . It is easily diagnosed by Finkelstein test by your doctor. Treatment includes limiting activites at wrist and thumb, wearing wrist brace, symptomatic relief by pain killers. Surgery is the last resort and is a permanent cure. Please seek advice from your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Best wishes
There are many causes which can lead to pain in your hands but going by the description of you symptoms it may be because of decreased blood supply to your hands. This is common in cold weather as the cold tends to send the arteries into spasm and hence reduce blood flow.
It would help if you could place your hands in warm water and try to wear gloves when you go out in the cold.
