Pain In The Left Leg On The Back Of Thigh That Hurts While Walking

My husband is having pain in his left leg on the back of the thigh about 3 inches lower than the hip joint. He says it hurts to walk and to move leg in certain positions such as side to side. Feels like a deep bruise but there is no bruise. On a scale of 1 -10 pain is at a 5.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having some thigh muscle catch producing muscle strain.
Give him analgesic with muscle relaxant medicine for 2-3 days.
Apply hot fomentation.
Apply some muscle relaxant cream locally.
Ok and take care.
