Pain In The Back And Waist After A Fall. Need Treatment?

I am a 29 years old male with no previous health related problems. A couple of days ago while walking I slipped on road and since then having pain in my spinal-cord tail end and the waist line. Though, the pain is gradually decreasing but I am worried if this could have any serious implications in future. What should I do now, precautions, medicines?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.

It might be soft tissue injury or fracture.

Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.

You have to take bed rest, avoid forward bending, taking anti inflammatory drugs & muscle relaxant. You can take Tablet Motrin 1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily).

Regards.
