Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I did quite a bit of yard work over the past 2 weeks. My yard is very hilly and unlevel. Can t seem to get anyone to mow it even for $$$...My left foot has been hurting for several days...Seems to be top outter part just in front of the ankle bone...Thinking I could have injured it by walking with it so twisted and sideways to mow the uneven yard??? Just know at times its tolerable and other times, its SO painful. Any info would be great

General & Family Physician, Dr. Shanthi E's Response
Hi Sherry,
It seems like a stress fracture. Please get an x-ray of the affected foot done.
Give rest to your feet for few days. Do not do yard work for some time.
Put ice packs locally thrice a day for 3 days.
You should be fine soon.
Regards,
