Pain In Tailbone And Buttocks, Irritable Bowel. Painful To Sit Or Stand. Reason?

am having pain in my tail bone and bottom cheek area .am going through my menopuse . having said that have had a very bad dose of irritable bowel .. have seen my doctor to check its nothing more sinister but very pain ful when i sit or stand .. i have been on a holiday and was sat on a 10 and half hour flight my doctor seems to think its something to do with that

Thanks for writing in.

Looks like your problem with sitting and standing started after your 10 and half hour flight.
Your doctor thinks right, it must be muscular pain or with a rare possibility, and deep vein thrombosis. Deep vein thrombosis needs to be excludd at earliest by your doctor if he suspects it. A Doppler of veins in legs is a confirmatory test. If its only muscular pain, a muscle relaxant with pain killer will be given.

As for irritable bowel, is it was after a long time, guess you are suffering from traveller's diarrhea and need a course of antibiotics.
