Hi user, if you are passing flatus and can hear gurgling sound from the abdomen, it means your intestine are working and all you need is dulcolax tab before going to sleep. Do not take milk or antacid with it. but if you are not passing flatus, can not hear bowel sounds, excessive distension of abdomen, nausea and vomiting then it is somewhat serious condition , you may be suffering from intestinal obstruction or paralytic ileus. Immediately consult a gastro-surgeon. Remember, to avoid constipation always take high fiber diet, exercise regularly, drink enough water and don't rely too much on laxatives.
