I have been having right upper quadrant pain, pain over my kidney on the right side and nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for the past 2 months. I went to the ER, and they did an ultrasound of my gall bladder/kidney and it showed "slight gall bladder disease and fluid over my kidney on the right side" i was told that i was being referred to a surgeon, who i see wednesday and i was being scheduled for a hida scan, and to come back to the er if the pain was still there after taking tylenol. i went to my hida scan, where the rn doing the injection, of the tracer, had me stop 3/4 of the way through the procedure, and get out of the bed of the scanner, because nothing was happening. then they just had me get back in the machine, and did the other injection of the stuff that makes your gall bladder empty, my gall bladder didnt move much, and then they sent me home. well the pain got worse about 48 hours later and i went back to the er. the NP i saw said my ultrasound and hida scan were both normal, gave me pain meds and sent me home. I'm still vomiting everything i try to eat, and i still have diarrhea, not to mention the pain is just as bad. im just wondering what the probability is that i will need surgery...
