Pain in ribcage and upper right of my back. Not

Pain in ribcage and upper right of my back. Not severe pain but nagging pain that comes and goes. Never completely goes away but sometimes more severe and noticeable than others. Trouble sleeping, sometimes days. Night sweats frequent or just to hot to fall asleep even in a cool room.

Last nite I felt a slight ache in the right side of my upper back; right below the ribcage to about 3 inches down. Today I woke up to it spasming throughout the day whenever I move a certain way; enough to make me gasp and tense up. I can palpate it and feel some pain but not severe- only when I move.

I am having excruciating pain in my right upper back near my kidney that radiates around to just below my ribcage. I suspect gas because I can feel something kind of gurgling and moving around in there. It brings me to my knees almost. It feels like a Charley horse, the same grabbing sensation that is unbelievably painful. Can gas truly hurt that badly?
