Pain In Palm, Knees, Back Of Neck. Blood Test Show Rheumatoid At 10, ESR At 34. Reason For The Problem?

My mother is having pain in her palm, knees and back of neck since last ten days. The pain gets severe after every 4-5 days and then becomes mild. She is taking aclecofenac, paracetamol, calcium tablets. Blood examination suggested Rheumatoid factor at 10, ESR (Wintrobe) at 34. Do suggest what could be the reason of the problem?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
In old age ,after menopause sometimes withdrawal of hormones lead to osteoporosis(weakness in bones due to calcium demineralization),also degenerative changes occur in spine and other joints called osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid is negative, but raised ESR with joint pains point to above causes which can be ruled out on BMD scan, Xray of spine, joints
