Pain In Neck, Shoulders, Upper Arms. Taking Co-codamol For Pain. Fibromyalgia Or Polymyalgia?
I have recently been informed that I may have either Fibromyalgia ???or PolyMYalgia??? I seem to have pain in my neck and shoulders and upper arms, and for the past few days it seems to also travel to my legs and knees. I was offered a low dose of antidepressant ,but I also have IBS and C0PD,and some tablets cause me problems. At present I am taking Co-codamol for the pain.sometimes this helps other times not... any suggestions The Rheumatologist said that one of the Blood tests taken was raised a little, this is why she is not sure if it is Fib or Poly which is worse in the mornings because of the stiffness
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain in the shoulders and the arms that you are having can be related to fibromyalgia. The pain killers that you are taking need to be continued. Doing a hot fomentation in the affected area will be helpful.
