Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. The description suggests that you have Cervical disc disease with radiculopathy resulting in pain in the neck and tingling/numbness down the limb. The initial management for this problem is conservative - *avoid using bulky pillows beneath the head * use of a cervical collar * Physiotherapy for your neck muscles * analgesics & muscle relaxants as and when necessary * Use of neurotropic vitamins ( especially methylcobalamine ) As you have an extruded disc fragment causing compression over the C7 nerve root, it is less likely to respond to conservative management.
