Pain in lower back, like cramps, periods. What is cure?

A few days ago, I got a pain in my lower back on the right side which then moved to the upper pelvic area. The pain felt like I was having cramps for my period, but My period finished only a week ago. The pain is in my lower back on the right side again and it feels almost like a bruise, but there is nothing there! It will hurt for a few minutes, then go away unless I touch it.

Hello Amanda,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

From your description you are most likely having a kidney infection/pyelonephritis or acute PID. You will need to consult with a doctor who can examine you properly, run some lab tests and determine the cause so that appropriate treatment can be provided.
Lab tests will include urinalysis, tests for STDs, blood tests and maybe a pelvic scan.
Ones those are done and the cause determined, appropriate antibiotics medication will then be prescribed. Antispasmodic/analgesic drugs could also be given alongside the antibiotics.

Hope this helps
