Pain In Left Back When Breathing, Moving Or Laying Down. Suspect Muscle Strain. Serious?

I have been having ALOT of pain in the middle of my back on the left side....it basically hurts to breathe, move, lay down - hurts constantly. At first I thought it might be a muscle strain but now I am wondering if I bruised or cracked a rib...but I would only feel pain like that in my chest area right? So could my back pain only be a muscle issue? I just want to make sure it isn't serious.

Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
Pain in your back and chest area seems to be due to muscle spasm. Do stretching and strengthening exercises to relieve the spasm and strengthen the muscle around. Doing hot fomatation and applying muscle relaxant gel will be helpful. You can take ibuprofen as and when required to reduce pain. If it persists, get it evaluated by your doctor.
Hope this will help you
