Pain in arm when blood was drawn. Now pain in wrist. Nerve damage?
Hi, I had blood drawn and when the needle was inserted I had a sharp pain that ran down my arm . I assumed at the time it was just related to the needle and pressure of the band they put around my arm, but it s been 48 hours and when I move my arm in certain directions there is a pinching pain in my wrist . Did a nerve get damaged and if so, how can I make sure it s not something permanent? Thanks, Bob
hello bob, there is nothing to be worried as it is due to vein getting inflammaed. I would suggest you to take Brufen tablet and apply thrombofobe ointment for pain relief. Also apply ice. it is not nerve for sure.
