Pain In Arm, Pressure In Thumb, Elbow, Hysterectomy

I am a 47 years old woman. I have felt a pain in my right arm at times in the past few months. In the last two or three days is becoming a little stronger. Today the pain has greatly increased. I feel a strong presure from the thumb side of my wrist that goes up to my elbow and up to my upper arm. It gets stronger at moments. What can that be? I haven t acknowledged of having any heart problems so far. I had a histerectomy five months ago, and believe that the doctor would had found anything abnormal in my heart before the procedure, right?

Hai,
1. Eventhough you didnt depict your symptoms clearly, right arm pain has nothing to do with your heart. Yes, as you said, your doctor would have taken xray of chest and ECG do rule out any major cardiac problems before doing hysterectomy for you. So, there is nothing to worry about your heart.
2. Initial pain in arm, now on radial side of wrist, radiating to elbow / upper arms can be due to cervical spondylosis which usually presents with neck pain / numbness / weakness in upper limb.
3. Xray of Cervical Spine and Xray of Right shoulder can give us some clue regarding your problem.
4. I would suggest you to get yourself examined by an orthopaedician thoroughly for your pain in right arm.
