Pain In A Particular Spot On Labia Majora, Painful, Movable Pea-sized Lump Above Vaginal Hood. Remedy?
hi 2 days ago ive had alot of pain in a particular spot on labia majora , i felt around and to the left and above my vigial hood (in the crease) is a small pea size lump, if not so round as a pea. very painful to touch sit down and walk. it isnt a pimple/spot, has no head. it is under the skin and can be moved left to right. can you help?
Hi,
according to the symptoms given by you it can be bartholin cyst.
Bartholin gland will be located near the vaginal opening and the function is to secrete mucus like secretion which will help in lubrication.
When the duct of the gland gets blocked cyst will develop. When it gets infected abscess will develop.
Now you have to consult your gynecologist and get examined.
Depending on the size and symptoms of the cyst the treatment could be,
analgesics,
sitz bath,
antibiotics.
To keep antibiotics culture should be done for which swab can be taken from the opening of the duct.
In severe cases surgical procedure like marsupialization can be done.
take care
