Pain, Bruise And Discharge Around The Thumb Nail Along With Swelling After Soaking The Thumb In Peroxide.
About a month ago I realized that any kind of pressure put on my thumb caused pain. It stopped for a few days but around two weeks ago I noticed a bruise that appeared to be under my nail as well as the return of the pain. I was told to soak it in peroxide and keep it clean and the nail short but earlier this evening I noticed some discharge on the side of the nail, as well as that my finger is swollen. The pain has gone from just the side of my thumb to my entire finger.

Hi. This is suggestive of an active infection and would like to advise you to take antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory medicines for this, to get rid of the pain and infection For which you may go to a Doctor and get the thumb seen .
