Pain Between Elbow And Shoulder. What Should I Do?
HI... the last few weeks I am experiencing a light pain between my elbow and shoulder . I can not tuck my arm under my pillow as I usually do. In about three minutes it hurts and I sleep on my other side. Now I am experiencing the problem in my left arm as well... when I lay down. When I am standing... there is some when when I outstretch my arm. from elbow to shoulder. When I touch the knob of the shoulder it feels tender.. Richard
Pain in the region between elbow and shoulder suggests a musculoskeletal problem. It could be muscular pain or involvement of the joint - shoulder or elbow joint. Pain and tenderness over the shoulder joint suggests inflammation of the shoulder joint. A X-ray of the shoulder joint is required to look for any effusion of the shoulder joint, or bursitis. Consult your orthopedician for clinical examination, relevant of investigations and management.
