Not too much pain to the touch either. Ran 3 miles on a treadmill yesterday. 8:15 pace. No pain. last night i noticed bruising around the ankle. look pretty bad. some swelling . no pain.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
the bruising that appeared around the ankle is likely to be due to shifting of the blood that oozed after a soft tissue injury at shin. There is nothing to worry. Avoid weight bearing and keep the foot elevated.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
