Pain After Injuring Right Hamstring Tendon. Taken Injection, Still Painful. What Could Be Done?

At the end of August, I injured my right hamstring tendon at the ischial bone when I fell. On September 11, the pain became so severe, I ended up in the ER. I received an injection by an orthopedist a week, or so later. This, along with physical therapy helped considerably. However, the pain has become severe again; I an unable to sit for more than 5 minutes. I'm still in PT. is there anything else to be done?

Hello,

As the pain is aggravating it indicates the persistence of the pathology.

In addition to Physiotherapy, you need to take anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation (to be taken after food) and application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel.
You can also include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.

Kindly get a fresh X ray of the pelvis to detect any pathological cause for the symptoms.
Investigations like complete blood count, estimation of serum calcium, phosphate & Vit D3 will be helpful.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
