P.c.o.S or poly cystic ovarian syndrome has no specific cure in medical literature.Metformin is given for weight reduction as it supresses the appetite.Femara or letrozole is given in p.c.o.s to stimulate the ovary as an antifertility treatment. It is an aromatase inhibitor whose use has been banned in india since 2011.Folic acid is given as it is good for reproductive health.Overall the treatment is good but it will help if your wife follows some general health principles.drink 2 to 2.5 litres of water per day.Avoid beef stick to chicken or the occasional mutton.Eat a lot of fruits.
