Outer Part Of The Butt Is Excessively Itchy, Looks Like Blotchy Rash, Applied Hydrocortizone. Will It Help?
Hi, I have recently been getting a really itchy butt. not the inside, but the bottom of my cheeks. i am on the same meds ive been on for months/years so i know its not the cause.. along with the itchiness looks like a blotchy rash (where it itches). i just put hydrocortizone on it but i dont know what the cause is and if hydrocortizone will work

You might have developed fungal infection.
The area of groin and butt is very moist and is prone to develop these infections.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.
Various antifungal powders like candid are availabe.
These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
Please dont use any steroid, it can worsen your condition
