Hi,
I have read your problem. I think because of stess or may be due to irregular teeth through which she is biting cheeck all the time,or may be due to sharp tooth which is creating ulcer or may be due to nutritinal deficiency. You can go to any dental clinic so he or she will solve your poblem. For immediate relief give her Rebagen 100 mg three times a day for seven days ,oraflora once a day for seven days ,dolonex dt 20 mg once a day for three days ,gel dologel ct for local application 3-4 times a day. Sometime just simple roudening of tooth can give her simple relief or orthodontic treatment she may get relief.
All the best.

Hi, the ulcers that come up frequently may be due to vitamin deficiency and any sharp or broken teeth or fillings, or any overhanging fillings. Please apply Mucopain and Hexigel ointments alternatively 3-4 times everyday after meals and mouth should not be rinsed for half an hour after applying them. this can be repeated everytime you daughter gets the ulcers. B- complex tablets should be given for a month and a dentist should be consulted if any dental problem like a sharp tooth is causing the ulcer. Take care!

Hi,
The ulcer on the cheek of your daughter is Aphthous ulcer which occurs due to stress and vitamin B deficiency. You can use Dologel/ Mucopain/Zytee ointment. Apply the ointment 3-4 times a day. Apply the ointment 10 mins before having food. Add multivitamin supplements daily for 2 weeks.

Dentist Dr. Yuvaraj Mohan's  Response
Please get your child evaluated by a dental surgeon or a physician to confirm if the ulcers are aphthous stomatitis. The adviced treatments in the forum will be sufficient if it is confirmed as aphthous stomatitis. However, there are other causes including systemic infection, hormonal cause, recent stress, habits, sharp tooth, broken filling etc. In such cases, the cause should be attended to avoid recurrance and then treatment should be instituted.

Dr. Sumit Bhatti's  Response

These ulcers are known as Apthous Ulcers. They are of 3 types: Major, Minor and Herpitiform (snail-track).

Although the exact cause is unknown, they are associated with stress, acidity, acid reflux, menstrual cycle (rare), vitamin and zinc deficiency, use of gutkha. or irritants, repeated injury by a broken / carious tooth.

Liquid Glycerin IP locally is effective in preventing the action of saliva on the ulcers and promotes faster healing. There are many other oral pastes such as Zytee and Oraguard. Control of stress and acidity, multi vitamin and zinc capsules are important measures. A tablet called Rebagen (Rebamipide 100 mg) and Lexanox (5% Amlexanox) oral paste may be helpful in controlling her ulcers,

For Painful Mouth Ulcers you can use Orasep-LA(Local Anesthesia) / Dologel. This may help in drinking water and eating food. Eat fruits and vegetables which are vitamin and Iron rich. In case of sever ulcer pains in mouth during eating, one can also use little amount of Xylocaine Viscous (Lidocaine Hydrochloride Oral Topical Solution USP) Liquid after consulting the Doctor.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Aashish Raghu's  Response
It may have occurred because she may have accidently bitten her inner skin of her mouth. Also Vitamin B complex deficiency shows recurrent oral ulcers. She may take Vitamin syrups which would help. Also for relief she can apply Smyle gel and avoid chewing food much on that side, avoid hard food for her till it heals.

Yes, it is most commonly due to viral infection, allergy and injury to the area while eating brushing. Let her use a soft tooth brush and use glycerine locally to bring down pain.
