One Year Old With Vomiting And Diarrhea Due To UTI. Septran Advised. Thickness In The Bladder. Posterior Urethral Valve To Be Removed
hi,My son 1yr old getting repeated fever and vomitting/loose motion due to UTI.From last 4months he gets fever every 10 days period.and his urine culture shows initially 1lacs,then 0000.then 0000 an dlatest 4000 counts(infection)..and he was advised to take septran(if iam not wrong)..comepleted 3 cycles of antibiotics now
last week we have done MCU test,result not showing any reflex but urine tube cooming out from bladder showing thickness in one part.doc syaing it may be 'Posterior urethral valve' and need to rmeove it.alos suggetsing circumcision as he getting repeated infection.would like to know this is the corrcet treatment or not

Posterior urethreal valves can be diagnosed by MCU. Circumcision does not prevent UTI. A proper work-up is required to find the cause of UTI and managed accordingly.
