On Gluten Free Diet, Had Light Pink On Tissue After Bowel Movements. What Could This Be?

I recently just switched to a gluten free diet despite testing negative for celiac disease because my intestinal issues were so severe I thought I could possibly have gluten sensitivity still. But yesterday when I had a BM, I noticed the tissue was light pink after wiping. In the past my internal hemoroids would be bright red blood. What could this be?

Hello,

It may be due to abnormal bacterial overgrowth or candida in the gut or it may be due to an altered color of hemorrhoidal blood by bacteria or undigested tablet or coloring agents etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Avoid gluten and lactose contain food. Use tablet pantoprazole.

Get done stool examination and then consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
