On Doxycycline For Malaria Prevention. Severe Pain Between The Shoulder Blades, Heart Burn. Need Further Medication

Hi and thanks for using this panel for your health concerns.
I am so sorry to hear about these pains.

These pains sound like those of acute gastritis. This is most likely caused by the doxycycline as it has been noted to cause pill induced gastritis. If you have never had gastritis/oesophagitis before, then you may want to stop this medication. Also, take omeprazole by mouth to get some relieve.
You may consider talking to your doctor to get another medication for malaria prophylaxis.

Hope this helps.
Wish you good health.
