On Birth Control Due To Irregular Periods. Have Bleeding Everytime During Bowel Movements. Cause?

Last week I went to the obgyn because I was having bleeding off and on for a month and no period for 2 months. She checked me for pregnancy and infection and neither of them were the problem so she put me on birth control to help. I have been taking them for 2 weeks now and they seemed to be helping until the other day I went to the bathroom and every time I have a bowel movement I start bleeding. Do you know what could be causing this?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

As you have reported to observe blood while having a bowel movement, we will have to find the exact source of the bleed. Whether this is from the genito-urinary region, the perineum or from or around the digestive tract.

Please visit a doctor for a physical examination, which will greatly help in confirming the cause.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
