Hi, my daughter-in-law is 26 weeks pregnant with her second child. Last week, she was taken into the hospital for a pimple on her hip that got worse and worse and ended up first being diagnosed as Merca, then cultures showed it wasn't Merca, but another infection. They put her on a strong antibiotic. Now she is having very bad cramping and sharp pain below her belly button which is radiating around to her lower back. Is this just Braxton Hicks contractions? Or could it be something to do with the infection she had last week and the antibiotics she just finished taking? What can we try?
