Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure where either laser or cautery is used to burn a part a the ovaria tissue which causes ovary stimulation and ovulation.
But it is better option for women who are still not ovulating after losing weight and trying fertility medicines (like clomiphene, letrozole). This procedure has complications like bleeding, development of adhesions or scar tissue on your pelvic organs, pain and infection. Pregnancy rates range from 30% to 85%.
You are now on birth control pills loette and metformin. Its been only 2 months you have started treatment with metformin. It takes minimum 6 months for the hormonal imbalance to improve with metformin.
You can use ovulation induction drugs like clomiphene, letrozole. If these fail then you can go for a surgical procedure of laparoscopy.
But you have to stop loette when you decide to take ovulation induction.
take care.
