On Novelon. Took Tablet On First Day Instead Of Third Day To Prepone Periods Next Month As Given In The Manual. Periods Continuing Till 8th Day. Reason?

Hi!
I have been using Novelon for the past 10 months now. I usually start taking the 21 tablet pack on the 3rd day of my period. Generally my periods last for 5 days. However, this month, I took the 1st tablet on the 1st day of my period since I want to prepone them by three days next month(due to an important religious family function). I did this as it was suggested in the Novelon manual. However, this month my periods have not stopped even after 8 days. I am worried. Is this due to me preponing my tablet-taking day?Will it affect my next month period too?

Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum.
I don't think this is the correct procedure.I usually advise my patients to to start the new pack, after stopping the period, then stop the the pills after 3 days, you may get the period after 8 days. But variation may always be there.
In case you fail to get it in time you have to use the the pills for postponement.
