On Divigel, Topical Gel After Hysterectomy. Weight Gain, Bigger Breasts. Side Effect Of Medicines ?
I'm 55 years old and a lifetime athlete and healthy eater. I had a hysterectomy in June 2013 as I had a cantelope sized tumor in my uterus and a grapefruit size tumor attached to my bowel. My mom had a 19 lb tumor removed at my age. I have been on Divigel 0.5 mg topical gel for since July or August of 2013. This helped with hot flashed but I have gained weight all over and my breasts are bigger. Previously, I was a size 4 and now a size 6 pair of pants are snug. Needless to say I'm unhappy. What are my options? Can I stop taking this gel cold turkey and try amberen?

Unfortunately your symptoms are due to the medication. But I would not advise you to self-prescribe or change the preaceiption, so it would be best to visit your prescribing doctor with your prescription, explain the issue and I am sure he/she can help you find a solution.
